FC12 Changing FM3 Layout - Bizarre

Not sure why this started happening.
Running firmware 4.01 on the FM3, 1.12 on the FC12.
I run the same layout (set to #5) on the FM3 for all my presets.
When I choose a certain preset on the FC12, the FM3 layout changes from #5 to #1, and won't go back to #5 unless I manually change it back.
I have the FM3 Startup Layout set to #5, and am not mirroring the layouts on the FC12.
Like I said, this started happening recently and I can't get it to stop.
As far as I know the layout is global and shouldn't follow a preset (if that makes sense).
Anyone else seen this? Not sure if it is a bug or just me.

Check for layout links on your FC12 switches. There's probably one saved in there that's changing the FM3's layout or view.

Thanks for the tip, I hadn't thought of checking that.
I did a reset of the layouts and then re-created what I had been doing on the FC12 and FM3. Seems to be back to normal.
If it happens again I'll know what to check first.

Sure would be nice if there was a visual indication of the presence of Layout Link data on a switch. "Ears, not eyes" doesn't quite get it....
