FC-6

I bought this new when I got the AXE III and never used it until now.
One of the horizontal lines of the LCD won't display.
Anyone seen this? Unit has never been jostled and has been in the box forever.
I did update to the latest fc firmware 1.12, but no luck...

It's possible it's a loose connector, but contacting support is the best first step!

Support recommended LCD replacement, never mentioned a loose connector, which I understand in some circumstances has been the case.

Not sure if it could cause that or not, but make sure you install the correct version of the FC firmware and not the Mark II version. They are not interchangeable.

v1.12 was what i installed

Yes but there is V1.12 for the original FC-6 and FC-12 and also for the Mark II FC-6 and FC-12 with the larger screens. Make sure you get the one specifically for the original version.

Thanks…the problem was on 1.06, the 1.12 version I downloaded is functioning, pretty sure it is the right version.
Got a new display from Fractal, problem solved. Don’t know the exact problem but one of the screws on the LCDs pcb was torqued down by a gorilla. Happy again.
