Got the FC-12 today and love it. Right out of the box, it looks like Layouts 7 and 8 will give me all that I need. I'm noticing some odd behavior with the Preset +4 and Preset -4 selections, however, and thought I'd post it. This behavior happens in both the + and - directions. For convenience, I started this test with factory preset 0, and all the presets noted are factory presets. Basically, the issue is that when I press the +4 or -4 button, the names in the mini-display don't always change. I've left the selected preset as the first of the four in each group. Whenever I use the +4 or -4 buttons, the name in the main display is correct, for the first preset in the group of 4 presets. Here's a listing of several iterations. For preset names, I'm giving the factory preset number for conciseness.
Preset group increment Preset names in mini-display LED ring illumination Main display name
(initial condition) 0, 1, 2, 3 0 0
+4 0, 1, 2, 3 none 4
+4 0, 1, 2, 3 none 8
+4 10, 11, 12, 13 12 12
+4 10, 11, 12, 13 none 16
+4 20, 21, 22, 23 20 20
+4 20, 21, 22, 23 none 24
+4 20, 21, 22, 23 none 28
+4 30, 31, 32, 33 32 32
+4 30, 31, 32, 33 none 36
+4 40, 41, 42, 43 40 40
+4 40, 41, 42, 43 none 44
+4 40, 41, 42, 43 none 48
+4 50, 51, 52, 53 52 52
I stopped there, since a pattern emerged. Using the -4 switch brought me through the same sequence, back down to 0. This happens with or without Axe Edit connected, and happens with the Startup Layout being either 0 or 7.
Any ideas? Thanks, John
