Farfield IRs byValhallir.at - Sound Demo

Hey,

since @funkstation777 of valhallir.at was kind enough to supply me with some Beta FF IRs I thought i just give them a quick ride.
First clip is Fatory Cab only, second the FF only and then I use the factory cab as main IR and increase the amount of the FF in the mix:

I honestly think the next step with cab modelling is the blending of the close miced and FF to get the best of both worlds

I think there´s still plenty of room for experimenting. To have it a bit more realistic with the 170ms at our disposal it would also be cool to add way more room on the parallel FF Cab Slot and then mixing it to the main IR

Thanks a lot for this demo, even on a mobile phone the impact is impressive. I like a lot 50 and 70 % mix.

BTW your 25%, 50%, and 75% dial settings do not correspond to % mix as the dials set negative decibels from unity gain.

Thus per your video:

25% dial -> -33 dB ~ 2% FF mix
50% dial -> -19 dB ~ 10% FF mix
75% dial -> -7 dB ~ 30% FF mix

For reference if one IR is at 0 and the other is at -6 dB, the ratio is 2:1 or 67% : 33%. At -12 dB the ratio is 83% : 17%.
