External Switches instead of Pedals?

Hi MFC-101 experts, is it possible to program the MFC-101 to use external foot switches instead of expression pedals? I'd like to have 6 foot switches and 2 expression pedals, or 8 foot switches if possible….

4 foot switches in the foot switch jacks and 2 switches in the exp jacks along with 2 expression pedals. the switch jacks use sleeve as a common. tip and ring will work 2 separate switches, in the same jack. the exp jacks will only except 1 switch per jack

depends on the switch, and how you want to set up the modifiers. but yes 0 and 127 will toggle off and on.

The switches used in the Expression pedal jacks will have to be latching switches as well. Using a momentary switch would require you to hold the switch down to keep it active. The external switch jacks have the logic to work both ways, but the expression pedal jacks don't. Not sure if it necessary, but you might need a current limiting resistor since the circuit is expecting a 10k to 100k resistance and not a hard wired switch. A single pole double throw switch with a 10k to 100k ohm resistor between the sleeve and ring contacts would match an expression pedal's load. The inputs may already be self limiting, so a simple switch may be just fine. Fractal would be able to shed more light on that.

Thanks for the information. I am using Mission SP-1 expression pedals that have a built in foot switch. They are working great.
