External Footswitch Question

I'm using an external dual switch plugged into exp 1. It has momentary switches. I have it set up as 2 switches, virtual toggle and normally open.

The first time I press it after a patch change, it does not respond. The second time and every time after that it works fine. If I change to a new patch, it doesn't respond again the first time I press it, only after a second press does it work every time. Am I missing something?

Change it from virtual toggle.

That change makes it work the first time but not again after that. At least with Virtual Toggle, once it misses the first press, it will work properly after that.

Dumb question I’m sure, but are you positive that you have momentary and not latching switches?

Yup, measured with my meter.
