Ext Switch 1+2 Bug??

i recently started using a boss fs-6 dual footswitch with my mfc (fw3.05) and noticed when powering up the mfc (with the footswitch connected) the mfc goes into firmware update mode. is this normal or a bug?

I think this is a bug... I have the same. For some reason MFC goes to FW update mode also if ext switch 1 is pressed in power up. Simple fix is to step FS-6 switch to another state before switching on. I.e in my case I connect the cables and then press left switch once (to not pressed state) and then boot the system...

good observation! after checking all possible switch on/off combinations, my mfc only goes into fw upgrade mode if switch 2 is engaged.
