Ex's and Oh's Guitar Tone

Hi, I cannot replicate the guitar tone on this one. Especially the guitar solo tone.

It sounds like fuzz but I cannot find a good match.

Someone could help me to get it ?

I played that song a few weeks ago und used a fuzz drive and the ring modulator as an octaver. Sounded pretty close to me.

Actually, I wonder if blending a direct tone a la Black Dog along with traditional fuzz in front of an amp would be a cool way to get a similar tone
