expression pedals

Need some help. I have an FM9, no problem at all using expression pedals - the Fractal ones. VP4 I can't even get to square 1.
The instructions in manual says
"1. Connect an expression pedal to one of the VP4Pedal jacks using a TRS-to-TRS cable. THIS IS DONE!

2. Open SETUP>Pedals
THERE IS NOTHING UNDER SETUP THAT SAYS PEDALS. What am I not getting?

3. For pedal jack 1, set Pedal 1 Type to“EXPRESSION PEDAL”
I see no option for pedal jack 1, no option for set pedal 1 type to expression pedal.

Select the Calibrate option and press ENTER.5.
I see no option to calibrate anywhere on unit or in the App.

This is on the unit itself. Go to Setup, then page right twice. “Pedals” is the third page of the Setup menu.

I was able to calibrate the pedal. I don't know how to assign the pedal to the different effects I want it to control, what element of that effect. etc
It defaulted to volume. I don't want volume IO want the level of delay or reverb etc

I was able to assign delay mix to the pedal. But it is still assigned as the default of volume of the instrument and I don't want that. Can't figure out how to not have it affect volume of the instrument going into amp
