Expression pedal

Hello everyone
I have a preset with a shimmer in expression pedal 1. I’m recording some songs pluging a cable from the AX8 straight to a H4n (zoom recorder), but when a use this preset, I can‘t stop the shimmer with the expression pedal, so a listen the shimmer all the time. Anybody knows what it could be? Thanks
 
Are the parameters in the modifier set for on/off, heel up/down, etc. Also is a modifier attached to the shimmer block?

How do you have it setup?
