Expression pedal outs

Posting for a buddy. . . I don't have his rig (Axe FX2-XL+/ MFC) in front but if anyone can point me in the right direction to help him that would be great!

While setting up his new mission pedal, any assignments made for EXP1 were only usable by physically plugging into EXP-2 Cables , Pedals, outputs verified.
I'm wondering if there's a wire crossed in the MFC?
Both units are new.

Wanted to check with the forum before sending it to fractal.

XP 1 on the MFC is set to Global Volume by default. check out the Manual or Quick Start guide.

Hopefully There's an MFC parameter set wrong. Will go over your setup video while in front of rig.
I couldn't find any setup issues on the first pass (Before earlier Post). Again, Making assignments on the AXE Assigning EXP 1
didn't acknowledge\work until the expression pedal was plugged into the EXP 2 Input on MFC.
