EVH tone deep dive feat. DAVE FRIEDMAN and PETE THORN

Set the Variac parameter in the Amp block at 75% to simulate 90VAC to the amp.

6CA7's are in the power tube options.

I believe pulling the negative feedback from the 4 ohm tap instead of the 8 ohm tap would give half the voltage, so I would guess reduce the default negative feedback setting by half.

How about correct biasing for 90V?

And no offense, just reacting to your stated uncertainty, can we get confirmation on the effect of the negative feedback tap location?

Did I miss something? There was no mention of the dummy load into the SS H&H power amp. Maybe that was just for live stuff?

Awesome video! I am feeling inspired now after watching this! Thanks for sharing! I still think Eddie's best tone is on the 1984 album, but this deep dive nails the earlier tones! So good!

Wow, awesome video! That may be the most legit VH tone I've even heard, probably because it's done correctly and not half ass. Great knowledge in this deep dive.
