So, the Axe FX III and Eventide H9000 were launched around the same time. Here's a thread to talk about the H9000.
My first take and attempt to describe it is that it is like having 64 Eventide H9's in a box. It is organized in "Sessions" each with 4 "FX Chains" containing 16 "algorithm" slots. The algorithms are just like an H9 program, or an H8000 patch. It might be a multiple FX algorithm (mod delay + chorus).
Each FX Chain has 8 in/out from of a total of 32 (8 analog, 8 digital, 16 USB).
Inside the FX Chain, you can route the inputs in various ways (serial, parallel, split, join, etc.).
So, if you've ever looked at your humble H9 / Eventide *Factor pedal / or H8000 and said "I wish there were more of you", here you go
