Environmental noise when shooting IR's using the AxeFx II

How critical is environmental noise level when shooting close mic'ed IR's?

I was thinking about getting a Matrix power amp for IR shooting and was wondering about the 1U vs. 2U amps in relation to fan noise.

I would prefer the 1U for form factory but since my first application is IR's I wondered if the extra fan noise would even matter?
