Emulating Bass Guitar

Hey Y'all, I've been getting some great results emulating bass guitar using the virtual capo along with a couple of other tricks. I currently have my SY-1000 and VG99 inside a drawer because my studio room is too small and I felt drowned with too many cables and gear around. Now I have to record some bass, and I will try this approach instead.
