The Axe-Fx and FM3 (latest firmware) now have a global option to disable the Edit light when changing scenes.
Another reason that the Edit comes up with every preset might be the global option "Update Pre-11.xx Presets Spr Imp Upon Load". If you have presets with old Speaker Impedance Curves which need to be updated when loaded, and you don't save these presets after loading, then the Edit light will come up each time as this is in fact an edit.
