IRs of one of the best delay plugins I know
might be useful after a delay in the Axe, or to fine tune the Axe's delay by A/B-ing

Re: [Echoplex] IR of one of the best delay plugins I know

so what do you do - treat it like a cab ir and load it into a user slot? and put the cab after the delay?

sim

sim

yes, and the delay should be run in a parallel/100% wet setup.

I'll try to match that response with the delay block itself, or if neccessary with a PEQ or two filters.

Re: [Echoplex] IR of one of the best delay plugins I know

I get close with Delay Tone
Low Cut 60Hz
High Cut 1542Hz
12dB/Oct Filter Slope (!)

Great trick!

offtopic:
For me The best vst analog type delays are the soundtoys echoboy. Very good simulation of memory man, dm-2 and other analogish type of sounds. Will be great a sim in the axe for this

Some links for the plugin

check the name of the IR ;)

:!: Nothing strange many of us don't success replicating analog delay... they are so limited, bandwidth, that it's unbelieveble how high to cut! I set hi-cut around 3k, I'll try your suggested value.

Re: [Echoplex] IR of one of the best delay plugins I know

I think the MM setting of the plugin is even 'worse' :)

above a certain point, the frequency response drops exponentially, as opposed to logarithmic (like in the Echoplex)
