I am now recording using the Wah, but my Boss SY-1000 is inside a drawer. I wish I could record the controller MIDI CC to the DAW directly from the Axe-FX USB output, without having to use external devices

Even Kemper has full midi via usb now. I wish the axe fx 3 at least had the sub midi capabilities of the axe fx 2

What are you trying to say? The Axe Fx II also didn't send expression pedal midi...
