Easy way to get DI + AMP through S/PDIF

Hey people!

I'm trying to record both the input 1 (DI track) and the output 1 left (axe fx amp) through S/PDIF.
The only way I was able to achieve this is creating a shunt line and panning it right. the amp/cab etc is panned left.

Now I can record through S/PDIF and have both track. The issue is doing so, I'm recording the DI track after the input + gate portion of the axe fx.

Is there anyway to get a copy of the input 1 before the input + gate block, as if I was recording through USB?

I know output 2 can copy input 1, but I want to stay in the digital domain.

It seems the S/PDIF-AES options I/O are limited compared to the analog ones. Would be great if we could have S/PDIF-AES options like S/PDIF Left: Copy Output 1 Left, S/PDIF Right: Copy Input 1.

Let me know if anyone has found a workaround! Thanks

EDIT: I have found that we can have the S/PDIF echo the Input 1. So the workaround would be to record DI through S/PDIF and ghost track through analog, then reamp through S/PDIF or USB later on.
