EASTER Sunday Song List?

guitarded

Experienced
I don't have one together yet but was goona see if I could get some good Ideas.

Will prolly do "God is alive" by: Fee for one.

...and that's all i got so far :(

anywho... just curious.

Were doing normal songs this year.

Sing to the King
Victor's Crown
Everybody praise the lord
Open up the heavens
In christ alone

Last year we had brass and everything else you could think of. Keeping it real this year.

We're doing "Risen Today" by Aaron Shust, among other songs. It's a cool take on Christ the Lord Is Risen Today. Doesn't sound anything like it, but the lyrics are great.

We will be playing:

Rise and Sing -Steve Fee
Today is The Day -Lincoln Brewster
Like a Lion -David Crowder
Oceans -Hillsong United
The Lord Our God -Hillsong United
How Great Is Our God -Chris Tomlin
Happy Day -Tim Hughes

I Appreciate the reply's!
Agreed on "In Christ Alone" It is on my to learn list!

I love the remake of "Glorious Day" also.
I will start looking the others up.

I know the first and the last tune. Hopefully it will be an interesting improv in between!

I never realised how big Christianity is in the USA. It's not like that over here in the UK. Maybe that's why we're all so miserable? The weather is shit too.

I saw a 2012 study that reported 80% of the USA and 72% of the UK populations are Christian so maybe it's not as large a gap as you thought.

I have seen Happy Day a few times on here.
My wife and son (Piano and Drums) have been pushing that one for this year...
I listened to it last night. Will prolly do it Sunday for sure.

I listened to King Of Glory.
I like it pretty well. I heard the Chris Tomlin version.
Is there a better one? Or possibly a heavier one?

Vineyard UK and Kathryn Scott create a ton of great worship music.

Check out Peter Hitchens book The Rage Against God. Having never lived in Europe and having a very US-centric worldview, I found his perspective of Christianity in England and Europe fascinating.

Okay...
I thought it best to only add one new song for Easter... keep the rest as familiar as possible
Happy Day won!!!!
Thanks to all for the suggestions. I have plenty to work on and teach the church for next year!!!

So here is the list.

Forever (Not Sure)
Mighty to save (Hillsong)
Our King is coming (Laura Hackett)
Happy Day (Chris Tomlin-ish)
Give You Glory (Gungor ? Maybe?)
God is alive (Fee)
