Wish Dual clutch preset switching

modern automotive transmissions often employ two clutches, one attached to odd gears and one to even gears. the effect is that both first and second gears are engaged at the same time (or both second and third, etc) so that up-shifting consists of engaging one clutch while simultaneously disengaging the other.

this principle could be applied to the FX8 by limiting the number of simultaneous effects ( or eliminating X/Y switching) and having both e.g. preset A1 and preset A2 engaged, with only A1 sending audio to the outputs. switching to A2 would only require cutting the outputs from A1 and engaging the outputs from A2.

YES, i realize that this is programmatically similar to X/Y effects, or having all the effects in one preset and just switching them on and off with scenes... but X/Y and scenes only works if you can fit all the effects you need for a song into one preset. my "dual clutch" idea would allow instant switching between A1 -> A2... and would silently load whatever's in A3 in the background, so that A2->A3 is also instant. (and A3->A4, etc).

a simple implementation would autoload the numerically next preset, but one could also have a variable in each preset containing a pointer to the next one that should be autoloaded. (similar to word processor programs storing the style for the next paragraph in the current paragraph style)

the most obvious use case is hotel california, where you need more than 2 scales for the pitch block.

limiting the number of effects per preset seems like a strange solution for not being able to fit all your effects into a preset.
