Drive Models Suck

I'm not sure what I'm listening to. So the Axe-FX band commander model was used with either the drive block or one of the other brands plugged into a loop and used for their drive pedal modeling?
 
Cliff, with the fix to DS1's they seem more gainy (eg at 0 drive). But i might be recalling incorrectly.

Anyway I was wondering if you've ever considered adding Input Boost (0.1-10) and/or Level Trim (0.1-10) to all drive models (something like amp models have) as a way to give them a wider dynamic range of response. Typically I do this manually with two filters or vol blocks pre/post drive.
 
Thanks for doing this comparison, they certainly sound closer in this comparison than what I was seeing at home, so I am guessing there is something on my end I can do to improve the sounds.

To me, the last pedal sounded best on each of them. On the Timmy comparison, I think the first two sounded very similar, and the third has considerably more high mids, and less low mids, making it brighter and clearer to my ear. Based on my own head to head I will guess that the third one is the real Timmy. If I am wrong and that is the Fractal I'm completely willing to eat crow and deserve to be laughed at. :tearsofjoy:

The first two were the closest to me at least for the Timmy, so I will be super impressed if the first is the fractal. I listened to the others, but am not as familiar with those as my Timmy which has always been a staple for me.
