Dotted 8th for idiots

When playing live use a digital delay so the delay notes are clear and don't decay as much. I also you only want about three repeats so they get out of the way as you are playing.

can anyone point me in the right direction on how to set up a dotted 8th sound. Similar to Paul Gilberts echo song.?
Try bank5 preset 6. It's one of the U2 presets. Should get you pretty close if played at the correct tempo.

You might want to consider Ducking.
The repeats are part of the style so Ducking would defeat the purpose. Setting the feedback to hear 3 repeats when doing a "galloping" type style is about the limit before it starts to sound like a mess.

Sorry... Forgot the topic of the thread. Totally agree. ;)
