Different Scene/Preset from the looper?

Is it possible to record a loop (e.g. using a clean scene) then playback the loop and then switch to use a gain scene to solo over it? So far I can't get it to work, everytime I switch the scene the loop will using the scene sound and thus be high gain.

Any ideas?

Put the looper Block last before out Block.
