I am trying to understand the differences between the Fender Tonestacks at the Axe-FX.
I have identified six, and I have made the following assumptions:
65 Bassman Bass
Axe-FX Amp: 65 Bassguy
Real name: Bassman 1965
Schematic: Bassman AB165
Bassguy
Axe-FX Amp: 59 Bassguy?
Real name: Tweed Bassman, 5F6-A
Schematic name: Bassman 5F6-A
Brownface
Axe-FX Amp: PrinceTone Reverb?
Real name: Princeton Reverb
Schematic: Princeton Reverb AA164
Vibrato-King
Axe-FX Amp: Vibra King
RealName: Vibro-King
Schematic: Vibro-King D041253
Vibrato-Lux
Axe-FX Amp: Vibrato Lux
RealName: Vibrolux, 6G11
Schematic: Vibrolux AA270
Vibroverb AA
Axe-FX Amp: Vibrato Verb AA
RealName: Vibroverb Blackface
Schematic: Vibroverb AA763
They all have identical topology. Component values are similar, except for the Vibro-King and the 1M pot at the Bass of the 59 Bassguy. The Mid fixed resistor is 6k8 with the Axe-FX Mid knob at noon, and the Deep/Bright switches are supposed to be the Fat and Bright switches at the Axe-FX.
I did not notice differences from a quick audition.
