DI active buffer in front of FX8

I need to DI my dry signal while recording through the FX8. I have found a DI box equipped with a dual J-FET opamp, it has an active buffer on the unbalanced out to the amp, and a mic-level balanced signal to the recorder. Is this going to cause any operational problems? I'm new to this side of things, so not sure if it will work, or maybe I need a transformer based DI?
