DAW Question

Do the popular DAW tools (Pro Tools, etc.) have a guitar canceling feature? Basically what I'd like to do is take an MP3, cancel out the lead or rhythm and record myself playing that part. I want to use the tones that the Axe provides me though. Everything I can find online has other amp simulations that are very rudimentary (Jamvox for example).

Thanks in advance!

as far as i know. this does not exist.
there is vocal cancellation, but that is based on the fact that (most) vocals come through both speakers (basically: mono).
Guitars (solo) are usually stereo signals, and rhythm guitars these days are double tracked (in rock/metal, that is).

There are lots of backing tracks available, though, but the quality varies.

Regards,
Marco
