Cygnus Beta - first impressions

For some bizarre reason, I saw that and thought this:

In ancient times,
Hundreds of years before the dawn of history
Lived a strange race of people, the Druids
No one knows who they were or what they were doing
But their legacy remains
Hewn into the living rock, of Stonehenge
I can’t wait to play a Cygnus patch in D minor. The saddest of all keys.
People are going to burst into tears.

As a fan of all things Marshall, it’s probably no surprise that I love the ‘59 Bassman. A Tele and its volume knob is all I need to cover a load of bases, no pun intended.
I was noodling this afternoon with a capo on and, as you do, thought “Ooooo that tone sounds like .......” and end up playing it. Today it was Jeff Buckley’s version of Hallelujah. I think I then ended up playing every version in some form or another just by rolling the volume knob.

The feel, response and dynamics with that amp model are already off the charts for me, and it never fails to put a smile on my face, so I can’t imagine what it’ll sound like in Cygnus. Ooooooof.

Can’t wait.
