Custom-built cab for Celestion F12-X200

So in another thread for the Celestion F12-X200 I posted a few pics of a cab that a luthier friend of mine is building for me using the design that Dr. Decibel posted to best use the new Celestion speaker. Since I don't have one of those speakers yet I'm using for now a Scumback H75-LD that I had in my main cab and because of this we haven't put the front 4 inch port yet.

The main mod we are doing on this cab is that I will use a poweramp to power it up and have everything in one unit. I choosed to use a poweramp that is normally used in power monitors and not a Seymour Duncan Powerstage because I got a good deal and in the end it was like half the price of the Powerstage... for sure it weighs more but I will manage. One more thing we did was to have the option to make it an open back cab to test how it sounds by unscrewing the back pannel bellow the poweramp, you can see that it's still in it's rough form without the tolex for now.

Here are some pics of the build. The cab is in working order and sounds great, but it's still not complete because we had to order the handle, the corners and the feets.

Zilla cabs made one for me, arrives today so looking forward to getting home after work!!

Is based off their 112 mini stack https://www.zillacabs.com/mini-stack, modified and tuned to work better with the F12-X200 speaker (what that means i don't really know... ) - it not powered will use ss power amp (SD Powerstage) - really hoping this does what i want it too! guess i can reuse the cab for something esle if it doesn't.

without bass reflex?

Here is the finished cab! I'm so happy on how it turned out :) we just had to put the finishing touches on it and now it looks like is showroom ready! What a difference just putting the corner pieces, the larger feets and placing the handle in the correct place so the cab is balanced when you pick it up.

BTW, I tested the cab as a closed back and open back and the open back sounds WAY BETTER!

I got them to build me the 2x12 flavour of this. I've had it for a couple of weeks now and it sounds fantastic. I am using it with a Matrix GT1000FX in stereo and I had to do only a very minimal amount of global EQ on output 2 to make it sound great using the same presets that I run at home through my pair of Yamaha HS7.

I was looking for a setup where I could get the benefits of cab sims and IR *AND* that amp-in-the-room feel, and this setup really delivers on it.

Nice, I couldn’t be happier with my 112, sounds great with the axe, have tried quite a few solutions and always struggled with frfr but this seems to give me what i was looking for. Feels like playing through a cab(it is a cab so...)

What speakers did they use in the cab?

A pair of Celestion F12-X200, 8 ohm each. The speakers are top left and bottom right, with 2 ports for on the other diagonal. And it's a closed back construction.
Ahh so you are one of the lucky ones that have been able to get their hands on them! Please give a review :)
