I found this cool vid by Troy Grady runing down Steves part in the crossroads guitar duel. I like the way he takes it apart and really analyzes it. If you haven't seen this it's a really good watch!

Working on this now. I am an economy picker in general but have incorporated his patterns in a few licks & there is something to it.
I have never paid this much attention to my right hand. I wish the series would move on faster but..... I understand the time involved. I have picked a few licks to work on & the start to just pour out of my hands. I am doing more & more work with the metronome as slower & slower tempos to work stuff out. The funny thing is that I am getting much better at sub-dividing beats into common & uncommon counts. I have really had a good time with 5:1 & 7:1 ratios on beats... ie... 5 or 7 notes per quarter note. Things that I would never have played are feeling kinda natural. Trying to make it musical now.

Proves what I've said all along, every second note in that solo was played by another guitarist on the grassy knoll.
