CPU tip: turn off the Global EQs

If you want to get the most out of available CPU power:

Fw 3.02 (Beta) expanded the Global EQs. You can now turn them off too. That will save about 1% per preset.

In fact it can save much more than 1%.

I keep Output 1 Graphic Eq turned on, adjusting my headphone mix, and turning it off saved like 3,5%.

I noticed they will use only as much power as needed to adjust the sound.

Aha, I measured when flat.

@yek

I did some tests and found that the Global Graphic EQ uses more CPU resources than the GEQ Block, with the same settings:

It's a 3.1% difference in CPU usage, and as far as I know both are the same type of EQ.

Maybe it's a bug.
