Copying Blocks and Refreshing the Library causes an Error

Based on the following forum post, I created a folder and copied in some blocks I downloaded from other users here. However, when I refresh the library, I receive an error to look at the "block_library.log." The error says, "The block's device Id did not match the connected device's Id." When I open the block file (.blk), it is encrypted, so I can't replace my device ID.

I'm not sure how to fix this?

My copied blocks to a "3rd Party" folder: C:\Users\scott\Documents\Fractal Audio\FM9-Edit\blocks

Not sure, but "device id" sounds like it's how the Axe family knows which device the data comes from. Even if you could change it, that doesn't sound like a good idea, it could mess up any translation that needs to be done when data gets moved between different devices.

Again, i made that up based on the error message you saw.

For an actually informed technical response, is suggest reaching out to Support.

@Dave Merrill Thanks! I will reach out to support.

Device IDs are used to identify the different Fractal device models.

I believe you can import them via the editor.

Did these blocks come from a previous generation device like an Axe Fx II?

I ask because I have my FM9 and Axe Fx III sharing a common location for block libraries and they don't have this problem.

I used a link from a forum post for Axe FX II. So I would say yes! ;)

Ok! Support said these blocks are incompatible from an Axe FX II. So I guess that resolves this post issue. No one would know of, or have an EVH Phaser and or Flanger block configuration? I will probably put that in separate post if I can't find one.
