Because of the matrix layout of the axe-fx, it would probably be extraordinarily difficult and take up a ton of memory. No, you would still have to use the loop block like you do now. You can't use them for external effect because you would be using output 2 for the front of the house and that is what the loop would be using.
just place the effects before the cab(if using stereo make that a stereo cab or 2 mono hi-res hard panned l/r). Put a fx loop block right before the cab/s.
