Constant hiss

Hi everyone,
I am new here and I recently got an FX ll. When playing there is a constant hiss in the background when playing a cord or a string. It also seems that the input signal is only 1 blink light up. Questions:
-how can I increase the input signal (and this probably will kill the hiss);
-and if this is not the solution, how can I kill that annoying hiss.

A constant hiss is not the way the unit is designed, so since many of us have not experienced that it’s hard to suggest what to do. We don’t know any of your setup like guitar or other gear.

The owners manual discusses setting input level in the getting started section. It’s in the I/O audio menu from the front panel.
 
Super thanks for your reply. It was very helpful.
What I suspected turned out to be true: the input level was too low, so it passed on the hiss from the guitar pick-ups. I now have cranked up the input level and the hiss is gone too. Cheers,

BTW: Guitar is MM Luke 2 directly put in the unit.
