Compressor Trick

Sounds like the kind of block you want on every present then.
I've already got a compressor at the start of every one of my presets. It's a global block... Debating on whether to change it use this trick and leaning heavily towards it right now ;)

This is so cool! I have droning bass string riff, and this really helps tighten it out without actually having to cut the bass.

Another thing that really helps with the lower bass register droning or being muddy is using a HPF. Depending on the venue I usually set mine between 50-70hz. Really cleans up the sound and stops the muddy boominess in the room. Of course running a properly set compressor helps as well.

Bump. Loving this Compressor Talk. :)

As someone else once confessed, I also hated comp pedals when using a pedalboard
into a tube amp. I wanted to maintain all the dynamic range and expressiveness I could.

I feel like a heretic now, though. I am loving the Comp Block on the Fractal. :)
