Thank you for giving some attention to this issue!
Just to make sure: did you try to reproduce with mark 1? It is very easy to reproduce on both mac and windows.
My setup:
- Axe Edit 3.14.3
- Axe FX II Mark I, FW Q9.04
- no MFC connected
- iMac 27 5k, MacOS 10.13.3 (exact same issue with my Win10 PC)
- Using Axe FX as audio device in the computer
- Tried 2 USB cables
- Tried different USB ports
Steps to reproduce the problem:
- Connect Axe FX to PC via USB cable and turn power on
- Start playing music via Axe FX (DAW, spotify, whatever)
- Start Axe Edit
- Bypass and unbypass blocks by double clicking on them (just to trigger the bug quickly)
Very quickly the Axe Edit jams and shows the error message "Communication time-out"
Restarting Axe Edit does not help. I have to power the device off and back on. I remember it worked for me the last time I used it to track songs on my PC. That was many firmware versions ago.
