i ve never had such pleasure playing U2 s music until i ve used Edo s sounds, each time i load one preset and began to play with it , i say ...waoh...that s it , amazing , i m like a young boy with his christmas present on the 25th of December !!!!!
HUGE AMEN!!
@fafakiwi I couldn't agree with you more. I was just playing An Cat Dubh/Into the Heart with my Edge Strat and Vertigo with my Tele, along with the clips from the Vertigo tour and I still continue to be amazed at the accuracy of
@edo's presets to the tour they are modeled after.
I asked Edo as well if he would consider selling his presets and when he told me he was in the process of trying to come up with a way to distribute them and come up with a price, I was to say the least, very excited. Then when he posted his sound samples of his presets, I couldn't wait.
I have to admit, I was hit by sticker shock when I saw the price, especially when you convert Euros to CDN dollars! However, once I tried them, I can say without a doubt, it's the best guitar related purchase I've ever made. I turn on the Axe-Fx, load a preset and play. It's pure fun and enjoyment now!
I'm 53 this year, only picked up a guitar for the first time at 41. I've spent most of the last 12 years, buying and selling gear in the search for that ethereal Edge tone. I've been able to learn quite a few U2 songs over those years, but I could never play most of them from start to finish because of the different tones and effects changes within most songs. Now with Setlist Maker and Edo's presets, all I have to do is concentrate on playing. Since I've bought Edo's presets, I've learned at least 6-7 new songs and now I can play them from start to finish without having to stomp on a MIDI controller or tweak presets. Now I can play songs I never thought possible, like One, Beautiful Day, etc., that have so many effects changes in them.
I also have to say, I've had many discussions with Edo over the last 9 years, or so and he has been both a huge influence and a big help. I've learned a great deal from him over those years. It's another reason why I didn't let the price bother me, he's worked hard, both creating the presets and answering questions. I believe he's earned it. Thanks Edo!
