Coming from Axe Fx III, what would I really miss?

Tremonti

Fractal Fanatic
No global presets and only 1 IA switch per pedal jack are 2 I can think of that matter to me. Anyone else?

Those are two really insensitive and cruel replies. ;)
You can add switches via MIDI pretty easily for $150 or so with the Expression IO MIDI controller unit. Stash it under the pedalboard, run a short MIDI cable to the MIDI In jack, and add 4 pedal jacks that each support either a pedal or 1 or 2 switches. If you also use it for any continuous controller pedals, then you can also grab that data when recording, for reamping with control over the FM9. Then you gain a few things and only lose the globals

I have one on order for my rig....

AF3 mkII vs FM9 has:

Global presets
IR capture
Tone matching
1024 presets (vs 512)
4 delay blocks (vs 2)
4 drive blocks (vs 3)
Better pitch shifting (at the moment)
More I/O with In 4 / Out 4

Well not all the answers....my 2 were not on that list but are different than the III
It mentions the FM9 single switches, and there isn’t such a thing as global presets, though blocks are covered. Just offering some of Yek’s wisdom to help you.
