Coldplay and Johnny Buckland......

Hi everyone ,
it s been a while since i ve been played ma favourites coldplay songs , i m very found of the XY album,
and songs from their previous albums,
i like Johnny Buckland tones of this period , especially in XY , he s never pushed his overdrives pedals as far as in this period ....songs like Talk, Square One .....
I love his crunchy , spacy ....sounds with lots of delay , reverb...
i ve researched what gear he was using at this period ,
i d like some of you to share their work , ideas , experience on Johnny sound s for songs like Talk ,Clocks ...on their live version taken from tre great concert captured in Toronto in 2006
hope to have your help , advices ....everything

These tones are not easy to achieve with lots of reverb and delay ...
Seems not to create too much interest in many ....too bad !!!!

Sorry those sounds are totally far from them to my ears .....
Crunchy edge of breakup tones with lots lots of delay and reverb ..... so not a Vai sound
Don t ya think so ..??
