Last night my band was doing an opening slot for a popular local band. We were using their PA and drums. I brought my XL+, MFC III and XiTone. Fed one XLR to XiTone and the other to the head. The guitarist for the other band asked me what I had for an amp and seemed puzzled that the Fractal was it. After a few songs he came up to me and said, “that sounds fucking amazing!” He did so a few other times during our set. He asked after the show what it was and when I mentioned Fractal he recognized the name and just said again how great it sounded. He was a great guy, not an amp snob at all.
I feel like I’ve read a version of this story many times before here over the years, and it was cool now having one myself!
