Clark Kent: NGD!!

I haven't bought a new guitar in a while now since I haven't found anything near PRS quality (which I love) but I thought I'd buy something different. A custom modded random guitar from a finnish hobbyist luthier. All the parts are originally Ibanez but as you might notice it's all modded. The neck is 80% redone and the mahogany body had a silver paint on it originally. I think this guitar is very versatile and def. sounds djenty on high gain. You won't see another one like this anywhere. :D Pickups are EVO's ... EVO II in bridge so it's not as harsh as the original EVO bridge. Love the ZR bridge.

It's not finished though. I'm buying new screws and adding the Clark Kent Job logo to the headstock. The diamond... you can see it on our myspace page. Anyways I think it'll be a cool guitar.

I like the natural look of that guitar. How you finding the tone? Is it thin (like the body)? I had an S Series in the 80's but found it quite thin sound (especially compared with my PRS). How's the action and string tension with the vibrato?

Is it the same model as this one?

I've been hankering for a new shred guitar lately, and have been looking at few Ibanez models... ;)

Cheers

It sounds completely different than my other guitars. Super low action usually leads to tone suckage and clams etc. so that's not what I go for. I set the action just like my PRS guitars and it feels comfortable. Neck almost straight and strings 1-2mm high on the 24th fret. I don't know what model this used to be since there's no text anywhere... the fretboard is ebony. The headstock is empty. I guess well have to judge by tone and looks this time!

I'll be recording a song with it asap.
