AFIII Chet Atkins stuff on Axe-Fx 3 + Preset Inside

ADDENDUM: to my earlier post.

This was my motivation for trading my MatchBox car to my brother for his SERIOUSLY peice-o'-crap acoustic guitar, a guitar he received as a gift from one of our school friends,..a guitar that my brother NEVER even played at all.

To explain, I must regress…

It was an overcast fall day and I wanted to hang out with my best friend Larry, who happened to live a couple of block away.

I knocked on his door and his mother answered,…I asked if Larry could come out and play. His mom replied that he couldn’t come out until he finished his chores, but I was welcome to come in and wait for him until he was finished.

I agreed and his mom escorted me to a big comfy chair in the living-room to wait for Larry to finish washing the dishes.

The chair was on the opposite wall of the living-room to a long sofa directly across from me.

As I sat there somewhat impatiently twiddling my thumbs, Larrys’ dad began descending from the staircase to the left of me, carrying somethings that were quite foreign to me,
namely a small Gibson amplifier in one hand and a guitar case in the other…. This definitely peaked my curiosity.
His dad proceeded to sit opposite me, facing me on the long sofa. I had no idea what was going on as he plugged that strange box into a wall socket,… opened the case and puled out a strange looking guitar with some crome doodads on it..

He attached one end of a long cord to the guitar and then to the box.

Then he began to play, and the most beautiful sounds I had ever heard filled the whole room.. (I realized sometime later on that it was Chet Atkin music).

I was totally thrilled and spellbound, for I had never seen nor heard someone play a guitar this way… a personal one song, live concert (my very first ever).

When Larry and I left the house to see what boyish mischief we could get into…I had a firm resolve…To learn to play guitar like that…no matter what.

After going back home to my normal everyday life..

I devised a plan to get that guitar from my brother…

I had a MatchBox car that he continuously begged me for… He traded and the rest is history…

If I hadn’t been at my best friends’ house ‘for the first time in my life’,.. at that precise moment, I would have missed that… what I call ‘divine inspiration’ at 12 years old ( and I'm now 70 and still rockin')….

Larrys’ dad died two weeks later of cancer.

Great playing!!!

For whatever reason I'm not getting any output with this preset. I'm sure it's operator error, but I can't figure out why?

VERY nice! I discovered that style of playing (listening only; I don't play that way) through Tommy Emmanuel, and wow, is it intriguing!

Just saw this... That was awesome and beautiful. Great playing! My Dad was influenced by Chet Atkins and would have loved this performance. Masterful!
