OK all you Axe-Fx gurus:
I am trying to create a patch to have a bass guitar imitate a cello, or a bowed double bass. In general, I'm trying to automate volume swells, with control over the volume curve. I've tried doing this manually with an expression pedal controlling the volume, tweaking the pedal curve. Every now and then I can get close with the pedal, but it's almost impossible to get consistency manually. So a long, smooth attack, perhaps some subtle vibrato at peak volume, and long decay.
A similar approach might work to imitate pedal steel on guitar, just thinkin' out loud
Thoughts on getting there?
Thanks
Bob
