Can't get mission SP-1 toe switch to turn wah on/off! HELP

As the title states, I can't seem to figure out how to get the switch to turn the wah on and off. I followed the instructions in the manual. any advice or a walk thru?? THX
 
2 trs cables from mission to fx8. the mission switch external controller set to bypass modifier of wah block. mission expression external set to control modifier of wah block. should work as long as switch ports are set up for external controllers correctly, and correct external controllers are used in the wah modifiers.
 
I’m still a newbie to the fx 8 I got the mission to control the wah sound But the switch does nothing
How do I get the switch external controller ( pedal 2 jack on fx8) to bypass??
