cannot update firmware or connect to Axe Edit via USB

Guys,
I'm trying to ascertain if the issue is the USB driver, Axe Edit or my AXII. I am on Windows XP (latest patches of course) and although the little icon in the taskbar recognizes the Axe Fx II Axe Edit does not. I have the latest version of Axe Edit installed yesterday so that isn't it. I was able to get Axe Edit to recognize the Axe FXII with midi cables but not USB. I wanted to try updating the firmware via USB to see how much faster it is and to hopefully dispense with midi cables altogether.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I have perhaps the same problem with the new Axe Edit Version.

After reinstallation Version 1_0_211 of Axe Edit I can connect via USB.

Thank you bud. Is it safe to say it isn't the USB driver then? I see several postings where members are asking when the new driver will be released. Why the demand for it if the current one works?

Just wanted to relay that in the settings tab the Axe Fx II USB midi needs to be selected both for IN and OUT for Axe Edit to recognize your unit. Since the new USB driver was released I am good to go.
