Can You Use Output2 L/R to Feed A Stereo Wet Amp/Cab?

I've been considering different routings for my WDW rig. In the 4CM, Output1 L and R feed the stereo signal w/ effects. I was thinking of using Output 1 L for my dry and Output 2 L and R for my stereo wet. Any reason I can't do this?

Thanks.

Do you still want to be able to have effects before the external preamp? You'd have to run Out 1 R to the preamp and return to In 2, using the send & return blocks to get the wet signal to Out 2 L/R. It's not really any better/worse than using Out 1 for stereo wet, just requires different placement of the same blocks.

That's what I thought. Just wanted confirmation in case I used a different wiring diagram. I was considering putting the Axe preamp and Egnater preamp in separate loops of the GCX. Then based on which was selected, send that to the dry amp. That would have been the Output1 from the Axe. I would then take the Output2 from the Axe for wet.

But after some more consideration, I think I'm going to stick with the 4CM + Out2R for the dry. I'd rather put the M4 in the Axe's FX loop and just use the GCX loops for stomps.
