Can u Guy's help me get informed on Downloading Patches?

I went to the wiki but it links me to some Axe exchange that seems to have nothing to do with the patches we exchange.

I'm looking for the "Allan Holdsworth", "Dumble's", Patches

And a few patches that were on the Fractal website as audio samples?

Would love to get some of the patches from Simeon Harris demo's of the Fractal Website?

Cory....
patches can be uploaded to either this forum section as .syx attachments, or to AxeChange. The wiki point there IIRC, but you cannot "browse" the location [http://brains2bits.com] like a standard web site - need to use AxeEdit preset manager to get to those.
Go to preset manager, go to Axe-Change tab (right window) and press "Source" button. You will need to create an id to login with. It can be any id not previously used and Preset Manager DOES remember it.
URL = http://brains2bits.com/cgi-bin/axechange/
user: your choice
pass: your choice

Click "Login/Create" and if your id/pass combo is valid (it is NOT your forum ID - but can be. These are completely separate FAS systems), you should see a login confirmation box.
Now press "Load" and "load all banks". This will download all patches from AxeChange to your local machine. This will takje a few mins to complete BTW.
You can navigate thru the banks.. most recent is Bank "J". higher than J are empty. There's 1221 patches in there (at this writing). I suggest you save these to bank files for future use. That way you only need to update the most recent banks on future connections.

Select Bank "A" then click "Save" button... "Save Bank As.." "Bank File". Chose the save location.
I keep mine in a folder called AxeChange under my main FractalAudio\Patches directory.
Name the bank file something meaningful like Axe-change_Bank_A.sys
Click "Save" button.
Repeat save process for bank B thru J.
You can now pull these up in the left pane under the Presets tab, or in the main AxeEdit window by selecting "Bank File" under the source button.
You can edit, audition, and save to the Axe from there.
Remember that anything you save to the Axe OVERWRITES whatever was previously in that location, so make sure you do a backup of all your banks before you start "playing".
Hope this helps..

PS: I updated the wiki page..

I found this really helpful. Thanks for being so decent!

So the only way to access axechange is with the axedit software on a machine connected to the internet? Then you can download all the patches that are uploaded there? Sorry don't understand how it works yet as my axe is in transit.

the holdsworth patches are included in this thread (page 2, but the whole thread is worth reading) - http://forum.fractalaudio.com/threads/26978-allan-holdsworth-tone - i don't know if the issue has been resolved with old patches from the old forum being corrupted. if you can't load them, let me know and i'll send you them via email

my patches aren't on axexhange, sorry. they're audio examples only
