Can the Morningstar MC6 do ... ?

I'm looking at the MC6 MkII as a cheaper yet versatile FC for the Axe III. I don't exactly understand Midi programming (yet) or the capabilities of the MC6 combined with the III, but wondering if the following are possible...

1a) Use two switches for scene inc/Dec via short press
1b) Use the same two switches for preset Inc/Dec via long press

2) Use one switch for tuner (long press toggle) and tap tempo (multiple presses)

3) Use one switch for several looper functions: record, overdub, play, clear

4) Use the other 2 switches for fixed block on/off or different blocks on/off depending on preset

The MC6 is pretty versatile . I was able to program it to work the Axe III with a lot of help from other forum members and digging into the Editor program .

I was able to use 2 switches in one bank for Preset Inc/Dec and a switch with a long press to activate the tuner . Another bank had 2 switches to do Scene Inc/Dec and other switches for stomp box style switching of effects . Another bank I had set up switches to operate most of the looper controls .

Using the FC12 now and without a doubt it is much more functional and simpler to operate . My MC6 will probably be going into storage for now until I find another use for it .

Can I confirm that it's possible to make the same pair of switches do Preset +/- (with a short press) and Scene +/- with a long press?

Yes that is easy to do (the two functions) - completely easy in fact
