Can I use the pedal jacks on the FC for additional stand in switches

Can I use the pedal jacks on the FC-12 for additional stand in switches or do they just work with the switch jacks? I would like to have 5 stand in switches.

Stand-in switches do not work with the pedal jacks, only the external switches.

As a feature request -- the option to assign external jacks on the FCs as additional stand-in switches would be awesome!

Would be nice if it could be done, but I think this may be more of a hardware than software update issue ?
