Can anyone explain how to use an expression to blend clean to dirty?

I'm working on a patch for the song Creep by STP and I have an acoustic tone match path going, and I want to use an expression to blend to a plexi tone and then back, not sure what to use for this. I remember seeing a patch a long time ago by that Hectic Watermelon guy.

Anyway, a patch or some simple guidance would be cool... thanks.

Probably more than one method but here's one:

Use one row for acoustic and one for the Plexi.
Merge the rows and add a Mixer block.
In the Mixer block, assign the external controller (pedal) to the Gain parameter of both rows.
In the modifier menu of both gain controls, set one to Max 100 and Min 0, and the other to Max 0 and Min 100.

Now the expression pedal can be used to "morph" between the two sounds.

It may sound difficult, but in fact it's the same as using a mixing table, sliding one fader down while sliding another up.

The rows are the channels strips, and the faders are the expression pedal.

Use gain controls in Mixer for rows 2 and 4 (not 1 and 2).

Also, there's no need for 2 signals coming out of the Mixer block.

Levels 1-4 in the mixer corresponds to line 1-4 in the Axe Fx. So in your case you want to use levels 2 and 4 to blend.

Ahh gotcha... 1-4 = rows... uggh. first time I've set up something like this in all my years with the axe ;) thanks for the help yek!
